On September 27, 2026, the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Sultanate of Oman held a grand reception to celebrate the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. About 500 guests attended, including H.E. Anwar Al Jabri, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, as the representative of the Omani government; members of the State Council and the Majlis A'Shura; senior officials from various ministries; as well as friends from all walks of life in Oman; heads of diplomatic missions, overseas Chinese, and representatives of Chinese enterprises.

H. E. Ambassador Lyu Jian delivered a speech, stating that under the leadership of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China with Comarade Xi Jinping at its core, China has achieved a successful conclusion of the 14th Five-Year Plan and is confidently forging ahead on the new journey of the 15th Five-Year Plan. Under the strategic guidance of His Excellency President Xi Jinping and His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the China-Oman strategic partnership is making steady and speedy progress and demonstrating strong momentum and potential. President Xi Jinping has put forward the proposition of building a community with a shared future for mankind, and put forward the four major global initiatives, offering Chinese solutions and Chinese wisdom to a world of turbulence and transformation. 

The ambassador called on all countries to hoist high the sail of peace and cooperation, set their course for shared prosperity and development, and forge ahead together.

An art exhibition titled "China in the Eyes of Omani Artists" and an award ceremony of the China-Oman Student Letter Exchange Program were also held at the venue.
