On February 1, 2026, the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Sultanate of Oman hosted a Spring Festival garden reception. Approximately 500 guests attended the event, including Oman’s Minister of Energy and Minerals, members of the State Council, members of the Royal Family, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, heads of diplomatic missions in Oman, members of the Chinese community, representatives of Chinese enterprises, and friends from various sectors.

H.E. Ambassador Lyu Jian delivered a speech in which he elaborated on the culture of “和”(He) embodied in the Spring Festival, noting that it conveys the Chinese people’s wishes for family harmony, national prosperity, harmonious relations between countries, and global peace and development. He also reviewed the progress made by China and Oman in jointly implementing the outcomes of the first China–Arab States Summit and the China–GCC Summit, and highlighted the significance of President Xi Jinping’s vision of building a community with a shared future for mankind and the four Global Initiatives he proposed.

A photo exhibition marking the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region was held at the event, and the Xinjiang Populus Euphratica Art Troupe of China presented splendid performances. Guests immersed themselves in interactive experiences showcasing traditional Chinese culture and modern technological innovations, and many wrote on the wishing wall to express their aspirations for peace, amity, and harmony, as well as their New Year wishes.
