On 21 April, H.E. Lyu Jian Chinese Ambassador to Oman met with H.E. Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi. They had an in-depth exchange on regional issues.

Ambassador Lyu introduced Chinese President Xi Jinping's four-point proposal on promoting peace and stability in the Middle East, noting that China will continue its efforts for the restoration of peace in the Middle East under the guidance of the four-point proposal and cooperate with the international community including Oman. 

Badr thanked Ambassador Lyu for his introduction. The Sultanate of Oman expresses its deep appreciation for this important strategy presented by President Xi and for the constructive vision embodied in these propositions, which underscore the importance of dialogue, mutual respect, sovereignty, and collective security in addressing regional challenges. Oman commends China's continued engagement and balanced approach in regional affairs, and looks forward to maintaining close coordination with China and working together to advance the four-point proposal.
